Luxury brand Hermès, is going full force with their brand. Forget their $6,000 birkin bags. Last month they unveiled a high-tech modular saddle featuring a tree made of carbon and injected thermoplastic, blah blah blah, the saddle cost $9,100. They didn’t stop there, keep the wallets open ladies.
For the price of about two and a half of the Hermès saddle, you can buy a pair of clip-on rose gold and black jade earrings, which cost $23,675. Why get a pair of earrings when you can get a diamond necklace for $880,000. What do you get for spending so much on a piece of jewelry, a custom-made alligator box. That’s the least they can do after you’ve spent enough to buy a mini mansion?
With snow and the bitter cold in New York, we Yankees always find a way to show what we have hidden under our heavy coats. Making sure that whatever we wear over, under and with our outerwear, are standout pieces and not to be messed with.
The fashion week torch which burned brightly in New York last week, has since been given to London allowing us to continue our droll fest and make our wish lists for Fall 2010 fashionable pieces even longer.
What did we take away from the city that sets the pace for the other fashion capitals around the world?
Velvet Dreams: It will come in pants, leggings, jackets and dresses. Pairing your velvet piece with the right jacket and shoes prevents you from standing out in the wrong way.
Shine Sir Lot: Putting the shine in the clothes gives us a different version of bling that we can love and afford.
Living A Longer Life: Maxi Dresses are back. But for the colder days, adding a sweater, jacket and boots makes them Fall friendly.
One Sided Focus: Try to keep on your good side will make you happier and sexier.
A new trend of watching fashion is “live Streaming.” This allows designers, especially emerging ones to show their creations to the greatest audience out there, you! The hottest one was William Rast.
New York Fashion Week will be over soon, and we survived this first lap of the Fall 2010 collections even with all the snow and freezing tempertures. From what I’ve seen, we’ve layer it up pretty well and in our own unique way. This is something that we do well with the right coat and boots, but what about accessories? In this case ,bigger is better because you should have to stand out with what you wear around your necks along with the overcoats and hats.
All of the pieces featured on this page plus many more “statement makers” are available on CoutureCandy.com
The Grammy Awards gives us our best musical artists that outshine the others. With such creative and talented minds ruling the hottest musical night of the year, there is no way that they plan on not making a statement with their clothes, accessories and jewelry.
Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce they all get to wear some of the best and unique pieces of jewels from around the world for the Grammy’s and most times they’re borrowed. I’ve found some great pieces from Raffaelloties.com /Raffaello Network that will live up to the jewelry we always love to see on the Grammy Awards, but with price tags that would not have you singing “No, No, No.”
This Christmas season we’re giving you some gift ideas that should make it easier to shop for your love ones. The first video for this season, helps us keep the gold jewelry in our lives a bit longer. Let this be you golden brick road and see where it takes you.
The leather-covered faux watch bracelet is one of Natalia Brilli’s signature pieces.
This accessory designer specializing in making leather-covered jewelry and accessories for women and men. Loving the softness, matte look and feel that leather gives to jewelry, Natalia favors using treated lambskin for each of her creations which also gives them that Brilli signature look.
Since launching in 2004, Brilli not only creates jewelry and handbags but now produces other objects like skateboards, helmets, and even domino sets, which are all covered in high quality black leather from France and Italy.
This is taking the love of leather to a whole new level that I like! Maybe we can put the leather pants away for now and give Brilli some touch and feel time!
Where are you? What have you been up to?When will the site be ready?
Some of the questions I’ve been asked, these past two months. With obstacles and events popping up into my life, they’ve force me to put certain projects and goals on the back burners to simmer.
My website is now a priority again. Early August is when I would like the site made public. In the meantime, I’ve been contacting my favorite vendors, just ordered some supplies and updated several accounts I will need (shipping, merchant, hosting, etc). I have a meeting with my web designer before the week’s end to go over some new layouts which, he may want to kill me because I’m making more changes. Also have to take several photos of my merchandise.
I did manage to do something these past weeks though. Moved my blog!
With words of advise from great friends in smart places. I’ve decided to move from wordpress.com and put my blog on wordpress.org. This allows me to have more freedom with layouts, advertising and the contents of my posts.
Got a new signup page too. One of my art pieces is what you’ll see when you visit theromeoreport.com. Visual stimulation is what I’m going for. It’s just a matter of time before you see my biggest project ever come to life. Rushing it just wouldn’t be right.
