I understand some designers create pieces to get us to do a double take and have our mouths drop open, but the shoes here were not made for walking. They might break your neck, (if your wore some of the) or have your drooling just because you can’t stop staring. While you browse through these photos take them for what they are, footwear meant to shock you, make you laugh or even amaze you.
I often tell my clients, wear the clothes don’t let the clothes wear you. In this case though, just stand at a corner and prepared to be photographed because this skirt is just using you.
Designed by Brian Lichtenberg, the Gizmo Skirt needs space to breathe, to get it’s ears scratched and be feed. For $2,100 you can get your very own.

I didn’t want to believe that Viktor and Rolf created this but hey, you can’t be on point and please everyone all the time. So they get a pass from me. V & K have been spared from the brutal words on my “Don’t Think So” series this time.
Valentino has dresses fashion royalty for decades. I’ve never taught the brand would create something that would have me raising an eyebrow until I saw this…
The bag got noticed on this season of the Gossip Girl for all the wrong reasons. It looks as though it was a accessory class project that went wrong. Ohh and the price $4,495, adding insult to injury. Sometimes, too much of a good thing, is just too much. On the flip side, if you’re indecisive about what to wear for New Year’s, this bag is four outfits in one. Sequins, studs, ruffles and a bow. Just show up in your underwear and the bag.
Here are some better looking options that wouldn’t break the bank and still keep you looking chic.
Let’s see how often these come out of the closet. The 5 1/2in creations by Antonio Berardi are missing the most important part of the high heel, I’ll let you guess which part.
Berardi said he was inspired by Latin American music and 1980s post-modernism, adding: “When you walk, it is almost on tiptoe. You look really dainty.” I don’t know how dainty some women will look trying to balance in these.
The shoe has a bigger platform sole which stretches back further than normal high heels and gives support under the arch of the foot. When walking though, you have to put your toe rather than your heel down first and you cannot wear them for very long. No surprise there.
Wear body gear first time trying these babies out, better to be safe than sorry.
